I think you should NOT be worried. It’s not even a hurricane any more. It’s a tropical storm. It is losing it’s power. It is currently in NC where it is causing minor flash flooding, but that’s it. No damages are being reported. I dont know where you heard it knocked over a car but that’s complete crap because it’s wind speeds are only like 50 – 70 mph.

Sweetheart…..I live in Florida and have been through Frances, Jean and Ivan. *Millions* lost power and winds were so strong it knocked over 30-story buildings. Water was above a tall man’s head. So I’m sorry you’re scared, but Ernesto is only a tropical storm, and all you need to do is stay inside and away from windows, and you’ll be fine. :)

Don’t be scared,,,do like we do in South Florida,,,prepare your house,,,then throw a party,,,tell everyone to BYOB,,(bring your own BOAT ) ,,,,seriously,,,if your are afraid of Ernesto,,,,just wait,,,Hurricane season is just beginning,,and the rest of the storms for the year ALWAYS follow the path of the first one ,,,,This one was just a wake up call,,,,,((( and it wasn’t even a tropical storm )))

When Isabelle hit a few years ago millions of trees were downed, millions lost power (we had none for nine days in my Richmond home), a secondary storm came thorugh a couple of days later and spawned a few weak tornados, it was a pain in the ass, but very few people were really hurt, we all got through it, we moved on and that was a much much bigger storm than this one.
Don’t worry you’ll be fine, stay off the streets, don’t dirve through water if you have to go out, and listen to the radio. What you are about to experience is nothing. Gov. Kaine declared a state of emergecy so that he could activate the guard, not because this is a disaster on the scale of hurricanes past.

I hear you loud and clear. I send my thought and pray to you all. I am sure the State knows what to do next after the Katrina and keep you and yours save. Meanwhile, gather your records in order to get help and claim after the Ernesto passes through.I am so sorry you have to go through the disaster.

    My life and common sense.
