“MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE” (from the year 2276) our future
Boldly, I question the readers depth of understanding
“THE FUTURE”
Pull me from this wretched land
where scars abound
Pompous fools
still sifting through that wasted dirt
Cutting the air with their needy knives
as they mine this planets last orifice
Fettered in time
this world is dark
Take me from this place
I must embark
From these Knaves and their Cotters
Together, they are the Potters
still turning this ghastly wheel
Me?
My fathers’ fathers’ son
Bred again in some sterile sound
Bottled genetics are handed down
Again they have passed this seed
damned am I by their deed
Yet, here I sit
by this dim light
Powered by only a subtle wind
blowing in the distance thin
above this dark cave
my home
but I won’t stay
I will not be my fathers’
home grown Son
They have nothing I would want
to carry on
They dream as one
and of nothing
Mother earth
has nearly died
All we do
is try to fight the tide
of Change
Sad… all has been lost
only now do we know the cost.

“Hello, I don’t know if this message will ever be found, but should it be,know this. Well over three hundred years ago Scientists began warning the Governments of this now dead planet that changes in the atmosphere were many and ongoing. As time went on the warnings became more and more urgent. but it seems mankind was driven by something much more powerful than the words of those who could see the future by the warnings the earth was giving. Demand! The demand by the mainstream to have what they needed no matter what the cost. People believed that it just wouldn’t happen. Well I am here to tell you it did. I will not live like this anymore. I am going to the surface to see what is out there. They say sunlight can be seen at times. Some who have gone out and returned alive have come back with stories of seeing animals. they are laughed at of course by the older ones as being sickened by the air, or having drank unfiltered water. I may go and I may die…but I must go. I must know! Goodbye. PS: Things happen all too often in our lives which challenges our santity and our capacity to endure
