Why wont A Solar Powered Steam Engine Car Work?

I thought of this great idea to make a car that runs on solar powered steam. My friends say it wont work… Why?

Can anyone please help me with these science problems?

1) a nuclear power plant generates_________energythat boils water to produce steam.

2) the spinninggenerator of a nuclear power plant converts ________ energy into electrical energy.

3) Why is nuclear energy considered a nonrenewable resorse?

4) How does a hydroelectric dam change kinetic energy into electrical energy?

5) Wind turbines convert energy of air in to ___________ by turning a generator.

6) the thermal energy caused by the heating of earth’s crust is called__________.

7) some geothermal power plants pump water underground next to hot__________.
8) organic matter that can be burned to realease energy is called_________.

9) Name one disadvantage of fossil fuels.

10) Why can’t solar energy br used to meet the energy needs of large cities?

11) Why is hydroelectric energy not always a disirable energy resource?

thank you in advance. appropriate answers only. thanks again.

What “technology” inventions were made during the industrial revolution (1760-1860)?

When I say technology I mean like “energy making” things- see i need to make an somewhat easy replica of an invention during the industrial revolution, so like a light bulb, or a water mill or steam powered energy. Thankkkkyouuuu for helpingg!!

Most efficient “microwave” Steam Engine? Over-Unity??!?

This claimed invention sounds like it might work and I would like some educated opinions. The device is an engine in which small quantitites of water are turned into steam by the use of a magnetron. The following is an outline of how to construct the device.1.Magnetron from medium power microwave oven.2.SmallSmall 4-stroke single cylinder lawn mover engine or similar engine with old style points and ignition system.3. Automotive alternator with built-in rectifier and regulator, also a 12 volt auto battery.4.”Trigger” mechanism from an aircraft”strobe” landing light. The magnetron fits into the spark plug hole. The distributor points are modified so that the contact is closed when the piston is at the top dead center and this contact is used to activate the aircraft strobe mechanism. The high voltage from the strobe is connected to directly fire the magnetron which in turn produces steam which moves the piston.I dont have room to fit any more details.Write me if interested in chat h2o4go@yahu

Why don’t we utilize the heating power of volcanoes to make thermal electric power stations?

Turning the generator makes electricity, generator is turned by turbine, and turbine is turned by force: the force is either water from waterfalls or steam. Boiling water creates steam. Water is boiled by coal, natural gas or atomic power. Why don’t we use the heat form volcanoes? This question is for scientists, who can think of a way utilize that wasted heat.

reinventing the steamengine?

I wonder, if with today’s tecgnology, it is possible to bring back the steam engine, use solar panels to fuel it, and a battery to get it started in the morning.
It seems to me that this is not an impossible task, solar panels can easely be incorperated in a car’s roof or hood, and if they can make a solar powered calculator, they can surely make solarpanels that work even if there is only daylight, and batteries could take care of nighttime driving,if this is possible it would get us away from oil for sure.
