Did you that by doing good works is not enough for you to earn a place in heaven? You to add on good works—?

—-with true repentance, turning away from sin and accept Jesus Christ as your LORD and Saviour. Religion doesn’t and can’t save you. Only Jesus has the Power to transform your life.

John 3
1NOW THERE was a certain man among the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler (a leader, an authority) among the Jews,
2Who came to Jesus at night and said to Him, Rabbi, we know and are certain that You have come from God [as] a Teacher; for no one can do these signs (these wonderworks, these miracles–and produce the proofs) that You do unless God is with him.

3Jesus answered him, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, that unless a person is born again (anew, from above), he cannot ever see (know, be acquainted with, and experience) the kingdom of God.

4Nicodemus said to Him, How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter his mother’s womb again and be born?

5Jesus answered, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, unless a man is born of water and [[a]even] the Spirit, he cannot [ever] enter the kingdom of God.(A)

6What is born of [from] the flesh is flesh [of the physical is physical]; and what is born of the Spirit is spirit.

7Marvel not [do not be surprised, astonished] at My telling you, You must all be born anew (from above).

8The wind blows (breathes) where it wills; and though you hear its sound, yet you neither know where it comes from nor where it is going. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.

9Nicodemus answered by asking, How can all this be possible?

10Jesus replied, Are you the teacher of Israel, and yet do not know nor understand these things? [Are they strange to you?]

11I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, We speak only of what we know [we know absolutely what we are talking about]; we have actually seen what we are testifying to [we were eyewitnesses of it]. And still you do not receive our testimony [you reject and refuse our evidence--that of Myself and of all those who are born of the Spirit].

12If I have told you of things that happen right here on the earth and yet none of you believes Me, how can you believe (trust Me, adhere to Me, rely on Me) if I tell you of heavenly things?

13And yet no one has ever gone up to heaven, but there is One Who has come down from heaven–the Son of Man [Himself], [b]Who is (dwells, has His home) in heaven.

14And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert [on a pole], so must [so it is necessary that] the Son of Man be lifted up [on the cross],(B)

15In order that everyone who believes in Him [who cleaves to Him, trusts Him, and relies on Him] may [c]not perish, but have eternal life and [actually] live forever!

16For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten ([d]unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.
This is about weddings; The church of christ (Believers in Christ or the redeemed of the LORD) make up the bride of Christ who is bridegroom. There is going to be a great marriage celebration in heaven between we-
Rev 19:5 And a voice came out of the throne, saying, Praise our God, all ye his servants, and ye that fear him, both small and great.
Rev 19:6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.
Rev 19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
Rev 19:8 And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
Rev 19:9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God

Why do sins need to be forgiven?

Since God gave humans free will to sin, and humans by nature are sinners, it should be clear to god that we all will sin. Its like some twisted power trip making us appologize and kowtow to him for something he knows we cant help doing!

Like he strands us on a desert island with a glass of water and a sandwich and says you can eat and drink these, but its a sin. So if you eat and drink so to stay alive, you are a sinner and must beg me to forgive you. He gives us something he KNOWS we’ll do, calls it bad anyway, then makes us choose whether or not we should beg him to let us off the hook. Wierd.
no, we can’t help doing it. Eventually we will all commit some sin, regardless of choice. God MADE humans sinners!
……..
…unless we have more power than God! OK, yes! Now I see you’re point!
God is meaningless. Pretty simple.

Then, which of your Lord’s powers will you deny?

On that Day no man and no jinn will need be asked concerning his sin. Then (it will be seen) which of your Lord’s favours you deny. The culprits there shall be recognized by their faces and they shall be seized by their forelocks and by their feet and dragged. (Then) which of your Lord’s powers will you deny? (At that time it will be said :)

“This is the same Hell which the culprits were wont to deny.”

They will wander to and from between the same Hell and the hot boiling water.
Then, which of your Lord’s powers will you deny?

The Holly Quran Surat Ar-Rahmaan verse 39 – 45.
