Training for Girls Basketball?

I want to start getting my body in shape for girls basketball season at my high school. I have never played on a basketball team in my life, that I know of. so this will be my first year. When i was in 8th grade I tried out at my middle school and i ended up quitting in Practice! I know high school is going to be much tougher than That. so i need to know what type of exercises do i nedd to begin my training for basketball. I believe our basketball season starts in january or march, so please let me know. I am starting to jog and walk for 15 minutes, and then do some jumping jacks and push ups. And the days that i can’t jog I’m going to try and get on my tread mill for 10-15 minutes and then do some jumping jacks and push up and squats. Im also drinking lots of water so please any Good advice is welcomed. God Bless! this is also my first year in high school so I’m a freshman, so that means I’ll most likely be on jv if i make it.

Wolverine’s healing factor doesn’t seem to be what it used to be lately. His fight with Silver Samurai left him in bad shape. 10 years ago, he would have been dancin’ in the aisles minutes after a gut wound like that. Have his writers decided to tone down what he can survive, or is this a permanent effect from Fatal Attractions and his time as Death?

Want to lose 35 pounds by summer?

Do you think its possible I could lose 35 pounds before June? I really want to get in shape for summer. Im taking Meridia which is a diet pill. It was perscribed from my Doctor so it’s not over the counter. Also, I’ve given up soda,fast food. I mainly eat a bowl of cereal for breakfast and then for lunch I eat carrots,celerey,kiwi,and sometimes the 100 calorie packs of diff things. (only one pack though)….I drink nothing but water. I come home from school work out for 40min-1hr. and eat grapefruits a lot. For dinner I eat chilli or some sort of low cal.homecooked meal.

Any suggestions of what I could eat to burn calories quicker?
Any workouts you suggest that I can do at home besides the tread-mill for 40 minutes (I do the fat burning program).

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Best ways to sculpt my body?

I am 16, 5’5″ and I weight 121.5 pounds. Reading that you may say that I’m perfectly normal but I have a smaller bone structure so the extra stuff is fat. I need a way to sculpt my body because I’m going to be a councilor at a summer camp for 6 weeks this summer and I need to turn my fat into muscle and get in shape and especially have more energy to run around with the younger kids.

My main problems are my abs, thighs, and butt. I need a free way (online) to help with them.

I already eat healthy so my diet is not my problem but I’ll be honest and say that since I quit dancing and playing softball I haven’t really done anything physical. So it’s been about 3 years that I have been active constantly. I do have outings with my venture crew where we go hiking or mountain biking or swimming but that’s only about once a month.

How many fitness centers are there in America? How many people are on those machines in each center each day getting in better shape? Suppose each of those machines was connected to an electric generator that fed into the local grid and all of those people were generating electricity while they burned their calories? There’s a lot of energy being spent working against machine resistance that is wasted when it could be turning a generator’s armature. Could that help with our energy problems? Would those people prove to be more reliable in doing their daily exercise than wind power or solar power? They work out on calm days and cloudy days as well as on windy and sunny days. Wouldn’t they even feel better knowing the good they were doing?

Is this a nutty idea or is there a germ of practicality in it?
