This vid shows the various steps in planning and having a company (Real Goods Carlson: www.realgoodssolar.com install photovoltaic solar electric power in my rear yard in San Diego; definitely more challenging than a roof installation. This is the second video with the 55.7″ Parabolic Dish. The water boiled in 90 Seconds from 50F. The container is a Venom Energy Drink made out of thicker gauge Aluminum. I added some black paint to the back but kept the from because it is a cool design. The drink was too sweet for me:-) This dish was slightly damaged so I softened the dents and corrected the surface. This dish is operating at full strength even with the slight damage. It was like that when I got it. I decided to test this one incase something happened that way I did not damage a near perfect dish. This one also has a center hole for mounting.

These photovoltaic films are being printed on an adapted label maker machine. The process is much more cost effect than the traditional method of manufacturing crystalline photovoltaics. Start looking for the cost of solar electric power systems to come down. These new solar energy films could easily become the next-generation solar panels of the future.

A plant that produce 500MWe of electricity.

This is a large Fresnel Lens focused on a copper tube with a 12 V pump (powered by two 6 watt solar panels) with water circulating through the unit. Water, seven gallons, was raised from 63 F to 106 F in one hour. It is not super efficient as heat is lost at the open top of the glass tank. This is designed to illustrate one method of solar heating a swilling pool with a Large Fresnel Lens. TESTING HDD AQUA BLOCK.
