Remove oil and world peace follows?

I believe oil should be debased to aid the ‘recovery’ of humanity:

I take the starting point that many countries in the west (and east) have their economies linked with the price of oil. This is due to power demand which is used domestically and for industry.

However, this oil comes with a political edge to it and many leaders cannot ignore the huge influence that large corporations have in the form of taxation and income creation.

Bush cannot sign the Kyoto agreement due to heavy influence from Exxon whereas Blair has gigantic revenues created by BP.

This oil is a resource that belongs to all mankind (I believe that land resources cannot be owned by one entity alone – it’s also a bad use of resources).

If you debase the value of oil by switching to alternative power sources, you remove the funding of terrorists, remove the polluting effects of such materials and change the future.

Is it time to build houses with solar panels and wind turbines, hydro-cell cars and clean air?

why is the middle east so important?

there is oil in russia and in other places…why the obsession with the middle east? we have nuclear energy and wind and solar power…what is the need for oil anymore anyway?

Why are the oil companies threatening to raise prices of gas if oil is “imported”? Are they too cheap to pay?

I’m talking about prop.87 which is supposed to allow for alternative energy sources such as wind and solar power. Those opposed to the bill are mostly oil companies which would be required to pay a tax on the oil produced in California. { I don’t know if this type of legislation is present elsewhere} But why would we have to import oil in the first place. The same thing was done in Texas and Alaska and no oil was imported from outside sources. Is this just a big scare by the oil companies to keep people from voting for this
proposition simply because it would hurt there pockets? I think that the oil companies have a duty to help stop air polution. And if it takes a bill such as proposition 87 to bring this about, then I think the oil companies can certainly afford it without passing the cost down to the consumer……..

Where are the most off shore wind generators located?

Do you think by 2025 we will be non-dependent on oil because of thes power generators?

Is oil the poison that breeds so many evils?

Oil, petroleum, black gold. Is it what cause’s so many problems, just look at all the polution it creates from burning it, to spilling it. They say that just the oil that drips from cars in the U.S. in one day is equal to the Exxon Valdez spill in Alaska and it gets spilled alot around the world, especially from ship wrecks in the ocean, it is a dirty substance. Then you have to look at the money it gives to certain forces, People who use it for power from terrorist to politicians. The people who say we have this new world order coming point to old oil people who control it. From the old standard oil to all the oil conglomerates of today they wield power from behind the scenes and it breeds corruption. I for one say, lets get away from oil, find a way to not use it in your life, sell your oil burning equipment or use biofuels like vegetable oil, its alot cleaner and breaks down quickly, think about solar or wind power or a electric car. This is your chance to change course.

Why don’t we utilize more solar power?

Where is solar power being used? Why aren’t we investing more in a source that is as abundant as the sun? Why all this folly for oil which is worse for our environment and creates conflict with other countries?

Why are Americans brainwashed into thinking solar power and any alternative to oil is a bad, bad thing?

I read things like (concerning Solar power), huge cost,, doesn’t work when sun not shining, need batteries (complicated set up) Gee – did the oil companies tell you that? Hooey – I don’t believe any of it. If the America people demand a product is becomes cheaper and easy to install, etc. Aka: Free Market
