How can I build a high-wattage solar cell?

I am a free-energy enthusiast and am trying to build a solar cell in which the light that is reflected and focused by a parabolic mirror can power. Being that the light is focused, I think that it will produce more wattage than normal. However, I can’t find a solar cell that will produce enough watts or current for the 6in. circle of focal point. Maybe if the cell was more dense or something. This really has me stumped and I’d really appreciate any answers that anyone could provide. Thanks.

In my engineering class, we have to boil water using only solar power (no solar cells). Any suggestions?

The faster or more water it boils gives us a better grade. We also can make coffee or tea. I know some form of insulation and mirror is needed. I just need the more suggestions. Maybe from anyone who has ever done this before.

Solar “Death Ray”: Power of 5000 suns!

The R5800 is my latest and greatest solar creation. Made from an ordinary fiberglass satellite dish, it is covered in about 5800 3/8″ (~1cm) mirror tiles. When properly aligned, it can generate a spot the size of a dime with an intensity of 5000 times normal daylight. This intensity of light is more than enough to melt steel, vaporize aluminum, boil concrete, turn dirt into lava, and obliterate any organic material in an instant. It stands at 5’9″ and is 42″ across. Unfortunately, the R5800 was completely destroyed in a storage shed fire on December 14, 2010. music: “hypnothis” www.incompetech.com provided under creative commons liscence Coming spring of 2011: Sun Runner 3 R23000 (R23K) Area of dish aperture (elliptical)= (pi x 102cm x 73cm)/4 = 5848 sq cm Area of focal point (circular)= pi(0.6cm)^2 = 1.14 sq cm Concentration Power= 5848/1.14 = 5129 then rounded down Output Power Estimate = 560 watts

I have an oak dresser set with no identity of the maker, how do I find who made it?

(by engaved, I mean that it looks burned in.)The long dresser has an engraved tree and fence on the top of the mirror, that dresser as a picture engraved of a “water mill”. The tall dresser has a horse and buggy, and there is nothing on the night stand.

FRESNEL LENS BOUNCE MIRROR Solar Stove Solar Oven Solar Power

www.greenpowerscience.com This is a Stainless Steel First Surface 93% + mirror that is designed to work with a Fresnel Lens and bottom solar cooking.

Solar Flash Steam Cannon Solar Powered Gun Trough Mirror Fresnel Lens

This is the trough mirror and a Fresnel Lens set. The water was shot in with a hose to produce flash steam. Ball bearing were used as ammo. A few modifications from this learning experience and we can launch 200 yards.
