Deepwater Wind has reached a new power-purchase agreement with National Grid, which involves building a wind farm off the coast of Block Island. Regulators rejected an earlier contract in fear that would cost ratepayers too much money.

Vancouver Island clean-up crews are still picking up the pieces after Good Friday’s wind storm. Most power has been restored but Hydro crews are still working to re-secure downed power lines. Many homeowners are also still dealing with the winds’ aftermath, especially those who had trees fall on their property.
Based upon my own research, I get the impression that the Atlantis myths, as well as various reports of the Egyptians being attacked by “sea peoples” were actually Minoan refugees. There is a good chance that a large island in the Mediterranean outside of Greece exploded in a volcanic eruption (think Krakatoa), and that the palace on Crete in Knossos was, in actually, a summer palace for the royal family. My guess is that the refugees both tried to settle in Egypt at this time, and were the foundation for the Atlantis myth that Plato wrote down. I wonder if any words in the native Greek sound or are spelled similarly to the Greek for Atlantis. Particularly, I’m wondering about anything similar to “water”, “warrior”, “refugee”, “power”, “island”, etc.
Thanks!

A fierce spring storm roared up and down Vancouver Island, knocking power out to about 90 thousand customers at the height of the storm.
MILL BAY – Strong winds destroy docks and smash boats at Mill Bay Marina. Several boats were thrown ashore while others sunk as waves pounded the tiny community. Coastal areas up and down Vancouver Island were hit hard by the Spring storm that also knocked out power to thousands of people. The strong southeast winds led to a number of delays and cancelations for BC Ferries.
