All agencies and others tell them to contact Local assistance, there is NONE… Apache County AZ is poorest county in country. Moving, NOT a good idea, they want independence and living costs are more affordable where they are on their own. They do NOT want to be living off others and have you pay $3,000 each month or more for their care. Does anyone know where they might get their property refi’d so they can replace their electric power system ?… All they have found are rip-off people that want to take advantage of them.
We all have tried to locate local and distant assistance… there just is NONE, at least NOT for the POOR. Cattle rancher politicians of this area are able to get $90,000 from DOA for not growing cattle…while the poor are unable to obtain DOA Home repair loans and grants of up to $27,500 that they should be eligible for.

Is that right or proper?… The system of help for N.E. AZ has collasped, e.g. NACOG the northern AZ assistance coordinator organization budget was slashed from $287,000 to $98,000 for this year, just does NOT have the means to provide the necessary care needed by so many (thousands)in this part of the state (Apache County). Also, United Way, Red Cross, Governors office and all others contacted will not even provide any kind of transportation for disabled to get to market for food or gas station to get generator gasoline, when old cars fail to run…. lawyers of the area do NO Pro Bono work and charge $35 for preliminary meeting..
