Thames Water wastes 100 million gallons of water a day! We have been told that it is the consumer who wastes water and as a result suffer from hosepipe bans!
The UK is well-known for having rain all the time yet we get 2 days of sun and are told that we live in a desert.
Also, power companies have just raised the price of electricity and get a billion pounds in pollution certificates to sell in open markets.
The supermarkets fleece us with their power and banks charge us every time we take a breath. We get taken to court if we put normal rubbish in the recycle bin but manufacturers wrap everything in excess packaging (see Easter eggs for an example of such waste).
The government lies and cheats on a daily basis and yet seem to get away with it all the time.
My question is – do the UK people have any method to deal with these organisations? What can be done to have true democracy? How can we stop this abuse?
Anyone with a decent answer please because these things bother me…
