We just picked up a 3 mo old female bichon puppy, saved her actually from an Amish puppy mill. She is incredibly shy and for the 1st 24 hours would not even get off her blanket. She is running around and active now, and trusts and loves us in the house. Even my 2 year old daughter doesn’t intimidate her. The issue is she won’t eat or drink out of any dish! I have tried all kinds! I have to feed and water her off my hands or off the floor! I don’t know what to do because I can’t just leave a puddle of water all the time on the floor and I can’t keep watering her out of a syringe. My husband said that is she got thirsty enough she would drink out of a dish, but that is NOT the case!! She refuses! Any ideas?
Ok, those of you who offer helpful answers, thank you. Those of you who choose to be condescending, don’t waste my time. Let me clarify. She IS eating and drinking, it just happens that it is off the floor and I needed ideas.
