I bought my Ivy about 2 years ago. It’s your run of the mill Walmart variety ivy plant, white and green type leaves, and whoa did the plant take off. My roommate had such a green thumb and watered it weekly and it just exploded in size. After she moved out it took me awhile to get the hang of taking care of it. I almost killed the poor thing from overwatering but I finally have it down to once a week watering and it’s doing well. I trimmed some of the long stalks *3* and put them in water one at a time and when the roots came in I planted them back into the soil. But the poor thing is still soooooooo thin, nothing like it was before. So how do I get it to explode again with growth and have a full bush type coverage to go along with the long shoots? Do I just keep doing what I’m doing or will that bind down the root system? Should I be patient and let it just do it’s thing? I do use miracle grow sticks. I miss my thick plant *sniffles* Help!
I already replanted it to a larger pot. Could it still be root bound like was said? The pot I replanted it in a couple of months back was several inches larger.

Pelosi hints at denying Bush Iraq funds. By HOPE YEN, Press Writer
USA- Democrats now running Congress will not give President Bush a blank check to wage illegal war in Iraq, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Sunday, suggesting they could deny him the money should he call for additional troops.
Yet Pelosi’s second-in-command and a Senate leader on foreign affairs questioned the wisdom and legality of using the power of the purse to thwart the White House as Bush prepared to announce his revised war strategy this week .. perhaps on Wednesday.
Republicans, now in the minority, said more troops were needed to get a handle on the spiraling violence in Iraq. They also cast doubt whether Democrats would block the president’s plans. “Congress is incapable of micromanaging the tactics in the war,” said Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky.
Pelosi made clear that her party can make Bush shake like a leaf in the wind as he already is doing. Bush is looking weak.
“The plan calls for eliminating tariff barriers within six months, freeing up the distribution of new environmentally friendly technology.”
This will without question benifit U.S. energy production companies like G.E. and have little to no effect on global warming.
I should probably clarify that there is no way this technology is going to other countries for free.
Henry: On the contrary, I think this was an ingenious move by Bush. Lowering tarriff bariers is always a net gain for the global economy. He is just using Global Warming hysteria as an engine.
The floods, ice, and wind that have knocked out power in Western Washington?
It’s a Blue State, after all, should only be naturally for them to blame Bush.
And why aren’t any of those affected by the lack of electricity asking for a $2,000 debit card from FEMA and living in hotels at the expense of the government?
I’m not blaming him…but he was blamed for Hurricane Katrina and various other things that he had nothing to do with…so therefore, why aren’t the bluesters blaming him?
